My Doghter™, Molly...

Lots of people look at me a bit funny when I introduce my doghter™, Molly. So, let's just say that she's adopted, but the US government won't acknowledge the fact. It's not really like I picked up a stray kid - she picked me, after all. Molly's just a little more furry than I am, and most people wouldn't be able to tell that she's my doghter™ unless I had papers (in hand) to prove it.

I choose to live in Hood River, Oregon with my Molly Girl, my Grams, and her two dogs, Micky and Ren. Mostly, I chose to live there because of Molly. If I live with my Grams, who is retired, I am certain that Molly gets lots of love and attention throughout the day.

Hood River is one of the best places to live. It's got plenty of places to go visit for pictures, lots of nice hiking or leisurely walking paths, Mt. Hood in the background, apple and pear tree orchards, vineyards, scenery and fresh air. Best of all, according to Molly, are the cookies that look like bonbons from GorgeDog, who are located downtown Hood River. She gets a cookie, then we walk down to Holstein's and I get a coffee and we sit around outside and enjoy our treats. It's nice to live in a place that's so accommodating for dogs.

June 21, 2002 was Take Your Dog to Work day. PetSit.com has details. This year marks the fourth year Take Your Dog to Work day has happened here in the USA, but the UK is on their seventh year!

Recently, Molly's nails have been growing in funny. They're dull and ridged instead of their normal shiny smooth. (It turned out that she needed a little extra calcium in her system!) So, I started doing some research online to find vet resources. Where I don't encourage you to use these as your ONLY means of Veterinary care, I do encourage you to utilize these for discovering what *could* be wrong.
